Top 10 books for Teachers: Anti-racism Ambassadors
“Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family." - Kofi Annan
As teachers, we play a vital role in the fight against racism. We have the opportunity to speak up when we encounter racism, facilitate student discussions, and be inspirational role models to our students. Our classroom is a safe space where students can heal and grow surrounded by our empathy, listening ears, and words of advocacy. Perhaps the best way we can improve professionally, this summer, is by educating ourselves to be ambassadors of anti-racism. Let’s grow in knowledge and return to school this fall equipped to be the BEST educators we can be!
